Cookie time

I have been tagged by Elizabeth...

Here’s the deal with this meme: If I have tagged you...choose one ingredient from my recipe and post a recipe using this ingredient on your blog, linking back to the previous blogs that have posted a recipe.
- Then tag four new people, and we will see how it grows.
- To keep it exciting please post within a week of receiving the tag.

So...from her yummy pumpkin bar recipe, I am picking the ingredient eggs.

I'm not picking this recipe because it is an overly outrageous recipe, but because it is a simple cookie recipe and I love cookies. Also, this is a cookie recipe of my mom's which she would make and put in my lunches when I was a kid and which is what I just did for Riley yesterday!

MOLASSES SUGAR COOKIES

First part
1 1/2 cup shortening
2 cups sugar

Second part
1/2 cup molasses
2 eggs

Third part
2 tsp. baking soda
4 cups flour
1 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. ginger
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. salt

Place all in your mixing bowl and mix well, adding one part at a time.
Once all are mixed, roll into balls (slightly smaller than a golf ball).
Roll them in sugar.
Place balls 2" apart and squish down slightly with your two fingers.
Bake in an oven at 350 degrees for 8-10min.
Makes 6 dozen

So brace yourselves....I will tag Heather, my SIL...because she loves to cook and bake. She also has quit blogging, and I would love to give her a reason to put up a new post!
I will also tag Lisa, my good friend from Calgary who is usually brimming with recipes! Ruth, because she too loves baking and will take beautiful pictures to illustrate! You should see what she can do!
And last...Melissa, a friend who bakes her own bread, and I'd love to hear her recipe!!?

Oooo, I love yummy recipes! But I also agree with Ruth, now I'm actually going to have to figure out how to do this whole "linking" thing!
