Fabrics and colors

I love thinking about how my house would look if I had all the time and money in the world to do it!! However, do you know how quickly you can change a room with a bit of paint and some fabric?? I don't know why I don't try harder to change simple things.
Today I was browsing the net for the perfect curtain fabric and/or upholstery fabrics.

I love the apple green color and the swirl. I think this would look awesome on my poang Ikea chairs, either as pillows against black leather, or as the upholstery itself.
Then I found this which I thought would make the perfect curtains in that room (the walls are a silvery blue/grey).

Lately I haven't had a whole lot to say! Seems I've been taking out my camera a little more and so it's been easier for me to throw out a few photos rather than to think of something inspirational to say. It has been great to have exited our winter hibernation cave and see some sun. The vitamin D has definitely helped to encourage the soul.
We took a great trip to Calgary last week, driving out on Liam's birthday and coming home on Greg's. It was a busy, fun time. We saw lots of old friends and were glad that Lisa and Andrew would let us crowd them out in their house for awhile. It is so weird to go back and realize that Liam really has no recollection of our old life, the house, the park, the people. He has almost been in Salmon Arm half of his life!
So spring break has officially ended and the kids are back to school. I'm in shock that this is the last term with only 3 months left til summer break! The year has gone so quickly in such a complete blur of activity.

Super Mario PARTY

Tomorrow my middle guy (Liam) is 6!! I love celebrating birthdays, and we've basically spent the whole week getting ready for his party, even though only 3 little friends were able to come (3 couldn't)!!

I was "denied access" to my own blog! Glad to be back!
This weekend was a beautiful one, filled with family and parties for my father-in-law on his 60th birthday.
It truly feels like spring. We are now starting 2 weeks of school break and will even get to head away for awhile.
