Auntie for the 5th time
So Glen and Bri had their little baby, a girl...Ava Grace. Yeah! So the Davidsons do make girls!! We are so thrilled she arrived and she's so healthy looking and totally cute. We can't wait to meet her, but it might be awhile. So my boys have their first Davidson cousin, and need to learn to share the spotlight!

Snot and Popsicles
The doorbell rang yesterday and I ran (cuz Liam was asleep) to find a neighbor boy with Riley at my door. Their little grubby faces were covered with snot and popsicle juice. Ah, the joys of spring! Riley just got a new bike and has been out biking with the neighbor boys for hours. The amount of laundry I'm doing these dusty days is incredible!
Here's Riley with his new bike and his posse...

Easter bunny madness
We went home for Easter. It's always so good to see the fam and to be in sunny Salmon Arm. I must say it is weird to go from no family at all to full-on family for a long weekend. We're all crammed into a one-bathroom house and our whole family of four sleeps in the open basement...so its rather intense, but it's all good. I get a little overwhelmed by the end of the weekend...just trying to keep a little bit of schedule with the boys and trying not to get them too worn out with all the company. I'm sure it would be easier if we had our own place there and could return home at the end of the day to unwind. As it is, we spend every last minute visiting and having fun. Not to mention all the CANDY and chocolate we ate this weekend! Yikes. Lots of exciting things in our family these days...the couple who wasn't there...G's brother and his wife are expecting their first baby any day now. And my sister who is due in a month who was there with her beautiful belly dancing around like crazy! So amazing to see. I had fun taking pics of her belly. Can't wait to have these two babes added soon to the family. A baby changes everything! And my parents have sold their home in Vanderhoof and are moving back to Salmon Arm. They found property and are planning their new chapter of life.
So we're back at home with beautiful weather. Seeing signs of life starting in Calgary...found some ladybugs today...see my irises poking through the ground. We had supper outside on a picnic blanket tonight. Summer is on the way! Yeah!

Boys will be boys....
I'll try to keep my posting about the boys to a minimum...but I can already see that it's going to be hard! I just have to say that these boys keep me hopping...in the last few hours I heard a crash...and discovered a ball had been thrown at my picture frame and broke the glass...so much for my rule about "only throw balls or balloons!"...now we're strictly down to balloons only! And then I'm dozing on the couch later and Riley wakes me up to say..."Mom, I've got a rock up my nose!" What? I didn't panic and had him tilt forward and blow, and out shot this little pebble. Why it was up his nose is beyond me, but thank goodness it came out.
Rainy days
We rarely get rain in Calgary. It's usually windy and cold, with barely 2 months of dry and hot in the summer. Well we are getting rain this week, and its reminding me of Vancouver. Not very fun to play outside right now, so we had to be creative this morning. I decided to take the boys along with our friend and her boys, swimming. My friend doesn't take her boys to the pool very often cuz her youngest, who is 2, thinks he was born with gills and seriously jumps in and right under and smiles the whole time that he's practically drowning. Funny to watch! but not so fun to be responsible of a little guy like that! My boys are actually at the perfect age for alot of things these days, so I know this summer will be a busy one. We already bought our zoo passes, and hope to get ones to Calaway Park (a huge amusement park). We have passes at the rec center here and have purchased a new sit n' stand buggy so I can actually push both boys around at once. There really is so much to do in Calgary, and I'm trying to make the most of it while we are here.

My other half
I can't forget my other half. My G. I've known this guy almost half my life now, and after I met him at age 15...I knew he was "the one". So he's stuck with me! and our life together of almost 7 years now has been perfect! Well, ok, not perfect. But I wouldn't want anyone else beside me. Til death do us part.
My life these days
Guess I might as well get it over with and show you some pictures of my boys (there will be many!). They are my life's work. The hugest deal that I have on my plate. They keep the craziest hours. They take so much but they give so much back. They are so irritating but I'm so in love with them! They are my boys. Riley and Liam. Four and two. I never imagined life could be so stressful when you stay at home! I think work would be a holiday! They are so busy. But motherhood is what I've wanted to do since forever, and once I signed on, there was no turning back!
Let's get this party started
Ok, I've never blogged before! I'm huge on keeping a diary, I write alot of emails and take a tonne of pictures....but this blogging thing is new to me. I guess I've been procrastinating because I'm not sure I would have enough interesting info to write about. Well let's see...
